LIVING MESSAGE

This church has a membership of about 110 people and is  located on W. Montrose Street in Clermont. Their mission is to bring families with children from homeless to hopeful through "Housing First" and "Rapid Rehousing".   Their program Find, Feed, & Restore currently has 9 trailers, all donated,  for families to stay in 6 to 12 months rent and utilities free while they provide free case management services. After 6 to 12 months the client  begins to pay lot rent and utilities for their low-income supportive housing as a building block to becoming self-sufficient. This is one of the local missions that Clermont UMW supports financially.

On Thursday Sue Friend presented Brian Broadway, the founder and executive director, a check from UMW to help families with auto repair. We also have money allocated to help them restock the trailers each time one becomes available. Two families are going to be able to move into their own apartments by the end of this year.  Those trailers will then be available for two other families to live in.  Keep this ministry in prayer that they will receive some grants they have applied for, and for the great work they do. .
Jan Becherer presented Brian with 12 beautiful quilts made by the Lake County quilter guild. I am sure the families will appreciate all the love and work that went into making them. This is not UMW project but this group is truly using their talent to show God's love to others in need.
